Successfully Launches the 3rd Wellness Fusion Retreat by Club Med

Michès, Dominican Republic — Over five transformative weeks, Club Med Michès became the stage for an ambitious new vision of wellness hospitality with the successful launch of the first Wellness Fusion Retreat, conceived and led by Anne-Sophie Baret.

Designed as a fully immersive well-being experience, the retreat brought together more than 15 internationally recognized wellness experts, doctors, therapists, coaches, and facilitators to create a holistic journey for guests seeking to reconnect with themselves and improve their overall well-being.

The retreat marked a significant milestone in the evolution of wellness travel, moving beyond traditional spa offerings to integrate well-being across the entire guest experience.

Participants experienced a carefully curated program combining movement, mindfulness, longevity, recovery, nutrition, emotional well-being, and personal development. The five-week journey included sunrise yoga sessions, sound healing experiences, water somatic therapy, art therapy workshops, self-development programs, expert-led talks on nutrition and longevity, and a variety of immersive wellness experiences designed to support lasting transformation.

For Anne-Sophie Baret, creator of Wellness Fusion by Club Med, the success of the retreat reflects a broader shift taking place within the hospitality industry.

"Travelers today are looking for more than relaxation. They are seeking experiences that help them reconnect with themselves, create meaningful human connections, and return home feeling transformed. The Wellness Fusion Retreat was designed to answer that growing need through a holistic and intentional approach to well-being."

The initiative reflects Anne-Sophie's long-standing vision of integrating wellness into every aspect of the guest journey rather than treating it as a standalone activity. By bringing together world-class experts and embedding wellness throughout the resort ecosystem, the retreat demonstrated how hospitality can become a catalyst for personal growth and transformation.

The project was made possible through the collaboration of numerous teams and partners, including Marlyne Heintz, who led the logistical coordination of the program.

The retreat also featured contributions from an exceptional lineup of wellness professionals, including doctors, therapists, movement specialists, mindfulness practitioners, and personal development experts from around the world.

As wellness continues to become one of the fastest-growing sectors within the travel industry, the success of the first Wellness Fusion Retreat reinforces Club Med's commitment to innovation and positions Wellness Fusion as a pioneering model for the future of hospitality.

For Anne-Sophie Baret, the experience represents more than the successful execution of a retreat.

It is proof that when hospitality is designed with intention, wellness becomes more than a program.

It becomes a culture.

And ultimately, a transformative experience that stays with guests long after they return home.
